1 - Data

Whenever as a general user you request our website and its pages through your browser, navigation and clickstream data such as:

* Your IP address
* Browser and version
* Operating System
* Time and date
* The site from which you came

are stored in a log file and/or database. This information cannot be used to identify specific individuals, and is only used for:

* Website and system administration
* Research and development
* Anonymous user analysis, and
* To provide accurate statistics to advertisers in the form of aggregated data

This information is kept on a secure dedicated server hosted by Dimasoft as well as externally from it in the Made In Nations offices at the address above.

Any data collected will be used by our agents and ourselves. Made In Nations hereby reserves the right to transfer any data collected in the event of an acquisition, full or partial, of the company or its assets.

2 - Contributors

Individuals who wish to contribute information to the website are termed contributors and they are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide. We do not accept information that is not in the public domain, and contributors must not submit any information to the site that breaches any conditions of employment or of commercial confidentiality, nor any information obtained by unlawful and illegal means. Should they do so they are legally and entirely responsible for any consequences that may ensue. Made In Nations accepts no responsibility of any kind whatsoever in this regard. Contributors are recommended therefore to only submit information which is clearly displayed on products, product packaging or accompanying literature such as instructions for use. Where public domain internet sites are used to verify product details including country of origin, an accurate record should be kept, for example in a separate file and preferably in a hard copy print out, of all web addresses of the sites concerned and used for this purpose.

All personal data concerning contributors is kept in the same general conditions detailed above in section 1, however it does include personal details and it may be used to identify individuals submitting information that breaches the conditions above to the relevant authorities who may decide to prosecute any individuals who have allegedly committed an offence.

Additionally, all data such as country of origin information on the site is individually tagged with its source and may be removed from the site at any time without notification. Contributors may be removed from Contributor Award lists published on the site at any time and without explanation. No further financial relationship between Made In Nations and individuals is implied or implicit in the procedure of signing on or logging in.

You may request details of the personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act. A small fee will be payable. This fee will not exceed £10. We will correct any information which was found to be incorrect promptly.

Contributors are expected to conduct themselves at all times appropriately when engaged in searching for relevant product information. At all times however they are representing themselves and are not, and may not claim to be, representatives of this business organisation. We are not liable in any way whatsoever for any consequences arising from the behaviour or actions of individuals who contribute information to the site. We therefore recommend that individuals searching for product information in retail outlets request the permission of representatives of those outlets before embarking on the recording of product information.

Contributors who do not wish their names to automatically go forward to the Contributor Award lists, or who wish to have their names removed from the lists, should contact us at the address given. We rely on our database to keep track of individual submissions and we cannot and will not negotiate over any perceived inaccuracies. We allow only Gold Award contributors to give personal web-based contact information, such as personal or business website, blog or e-mail address, but this is a voluntary arrangement on our part and is not an agreed right. We may remove such information at any time. We are not responsible for any adverse circumstances arising from the publication of contributor details, and to mitigate problems with spam and unwanted e-mails we recommend a secondary e-mail account is used for this purpose.

3 - Copyright and Trademark

This website contains trademarked and copyrighted information. All third party items, including names, service marks, copyrights and trademarks are the property of their respective holders.

3.1 - Company names, product/brand names, item references and manufacturing address details are public domain information. All reasonable efforts have been made to ensure that third party company and product information displayed on Made In Nations is accurate at the time of publication. Made In Nations does not accept responsibility for any consequences arising from any inaccurate information that may be displayed on the website. It offers a priority correction notification system, described in the 'Companies' section accessible from the top menu bar, for companies to correct inaccurate entries. Individuals may also submit corrections in the form of queries to a specific section of the forums titled 'Query a Product,' and these queries are acted upon appropriately.

3.2 - Contributors/members must reasonably ensure that any copyrighted/trademarked third party information entered into the Made In Nations system for verification is reliable and accurate, as detailed in section 2.

3.3 - You may not copy, adapt, reproduce or otherwise transmit any text, imagery or other content from the website for any commercial or public use. Any usage whatsoever requires prior written permission from the copyright holders.

4 - Using the Forum

Contributors are expected to comply with appropriate forum etiquette, including avoidance of insulting and disrespectful language. Any legal liability in all cases rests with the contributor. Made In Nations will fully comply with any legal processes/inquiries resulting from failure to follow any of the stated rules, including but not limited to disclosure of contributor details to authorities. All contributors to the Made In Nations forum, or the associated forum on Facebook, must comply with the following rules:

4.1 One account per person.
4.2 All posts must be on-topic.
4.3 Contributors are wholly responsible for the content of their own postings.
4.4 Contributors must ensure the reliability and accuracy of any claims made in their postings to a reasonable level.
4.5 Made In Nations and appointed administrators/moderators will remove/delete any inappropriate postings.
4.6 Do not discuss illegal activities.
4.7 Do not plagiarise postings.
4.8 Practices known as “flamewars”, “trolling” and “spamming” are strictly forbidden and will be acted against by administrators/moderators.
4.9 Do not link to inappropriate, illegal or offensive websites.
4.10 Advertising, including self-promotion, is strictly forbidden and will be deleted.

5 - Software Downloads

Software downloads from this website have been checked against virus and malfunction. However, we do not accept responsibility for potential disruption, data loss or any technical damage of any description caused as a result of download. We recommend users keep their system or network virus checker software up to date at all times.

6 - Accessibility and Availability
